Stampin' Up for KIDS!
This month is Stampin' Up!'s Kid's Campaign. To get into the spirit, my friend Jill and I are doing a Girly Girl Craft Camp. Today was our first of 2 days, and although the time seemed to fly, the projects took a little longer than expected, which is better than flying through all the projects! Anyway, we made name tags, a paperbag album and a purse using the Shaving Cream technique. The girls went WILD for the shaving cream and ink! They also loved all the hidden pockets in their albums. We are very tired, but looking forward to our day of crafting tomorrow! All projects use the Sunny Day Simply Scrappin' kit, and we also used several different stamps sents... all, sadly, retired! Tomorrow, I will try to get some of the girls in action!

Card Portfolio Workshop
Hello Stampers!!
My friend Toni and I will be doing a Card Portfolio workshop together on Thursday, August 20th, at 6:30. This portfolio uses the Stampin’ Up! Bella Blue paper and the Simple Friendship stamp set. You will make a card sized portfolio and 4 cards to go inside it. This is fun as a gift for someone else, or a gift to yourself! When you are done with the cards, the clear pages can also hold pictures. We will also give you the instructions so you can make this again for more people (great teacher gift)!
The cost of the class is $20.00. You will need at least an hour and a half to complete the set, so make it a crafty girls night out, and join us for fun and snacks! Please feel free to pass this along to anyone you think might be interested. Please RSVP as soon as possible so we can have enough supplies ready for everyone. This class is best for adults only.
See this post for another sample.
If you are interested in this class and can’t make it on that date please let us know. We will most likely teach it again on another date. This class is also available to purchase as a kit.
If you have not had a chance yet to check out the new 2009-2010 Stampin’ Up! catalog you can view it at http://www.stampinup.com/

Anyway, hope you like the cards!

Over a month!
Well, I am not off to a good start! It has been over a month since I last posted! We have had lots of cousins in town, so we have been running all over the place. This last week we finally slowed down and now the kids are sick. Oh well!
Anyway, my upline, and good friend, Toni and I are going to do a workshop class in August making a cute card portfolio using a template and planner made by Andrea Walford of Sunny Stampin'. We changed the colors a bit but still used the same papers and design. The portfolio has 4 clear envelopes inside and holds 4 cards. It also holds 4 envelopes. It is a very cute set! Here is a little preview of the set, and please let us know if you would like to come in the 2nd half of August to make one!

Good morning!
It looks like our June gloom may be finally letting up a wee bit! It has be cold, windy, drizzly here in our usual sunny cal for too long! I've been feeling sooo blue from the weather! We had sun all day yesterday and a little the day before that and I am already feeling better!
Anyway, Stampin' Up!'s year is coming to a close, which means I HAVE THE NEW CATALOG! It is VERY pretty. Lots of neat ideas and some very pretty designer papers. They have added some really neat ideas in the Specialty Paper section too. I placed another sneak peek order today and I am getting really excited for my catalog release party which I will announce the date of next week. We will be using the new colors and stamps...
But, let me leave you with one of the Thank You cards we made at our workshop last week. Cute and simple! Love the stamp, it is very versatile... see my other card made with the same stamp here! Again these ideas were supplied by Mercedes Weber.

New Stampin' up! Catalog!
The new Stampin' Up Catalog is coming out this July 1st. I am awaiting my sneak peek copy... If you are interested in seeing which stamps are leaving this June 30, Please check out the Last Chance (formerly Retiring) list.
Also, my class for the 3 thank you cards is this Friday! Let me know if you would like to come! My hubby is off in Virginia, so of course it feels like the house if falling down around my ears. If people come to the workshop of Friday, all they may find is a pile of rubble. Off too clean my stamping stuff off the table so we can eat breakfast tomorrow!

Sneek Peek!
The sun is finally out and burning off this blasted marine layer. It has changed into a sauna outside! At least the sun is out though, I was starting to have a low grade bad attitude from all the cloudy weather and misting. June gloom is just so GLOOMY!
Anyway, I am having another workshop at my house this Friday, June 5th. It will be from 9:30-11:30. We will make 3 thank you cards using Rasperry Tart Designer Paper and the Elegant Thank You stamp from the Under $10 section of the Stampin Up Catalog. These are great stamps and we are going to use the one stamp 3 different ways. This original idea came from another SU! Consultant, Mercedes Weber. We will also be working with a few different punches so you can see how they can be layered in different ways to make embellishments.
This class is $6 for the 3 cards (we may make a bonus one if I can get it together in time). BUT!!! if you spend $20 on a catalog order, you will get your 3 cards for FREE! Now since this is the beginning of summer, I am going to be running some summer specials for my customers. And in September, I will be giving away a $25 gift Certificate for Stamping up Merchandise! I will have more info on how to get in the running for that free money on Friday! Hope you can make it and please let me know so that I can have materials ready for you!
Lastly, the Stampin' Up year is coming to an end and it is almost time to release the new catalog. That means some favorites will be leaving us! I will have the link to the Last Chance list as soon as I figure out how! This is also the last month to order paper and ink in the 2008-09 In Colors. So, if you love Baja Breeze, Red Riding Hood, Pirourette Pink, Pacific Point and Kiwi Kiss, now is the time to STOCK UP! Don't forget to get your re-inkers for your ink pads especially if you have any of these colors. Anyway, hope to see you Friday!

Stamps: Elegant Thank You, Always

Shazzam!
I did this card for Kristina Werner's Color. It seriously makes me think of a Marvel Comic. But my hubby is my superstar, so this is very fitting! What would I do without him? Probably lie here in a pool of filth with my three children running around me wreaking havoc. Luckily, I have this sweet man to help me with the kids, help with the the cleaning and just to have a great time with! These were definitely more manly colors, and I like how this turned out! I will add some tips to this post later on... Thanks for looking!
All SU Products! unless otherwise noted. Paper: Pacific Point, Real Red, Basic Black Whisper White, Summer Sun. Ink: Real Red, Brillant Blue, Summer Sun (markers). Accessories: Star Punches, Large and Small, Making Memories Star Brads.

Sweet Suprise!
This card was done for my Sisterhood of the Traveling Cards. The card was supposed to have the major focus on the inside. At least that is how I took it! So here is my take on the challenge! This stamp set, Stampin' Up's Tart and Tangy is one of my favorites and I love how the "scallop" fruit on the inside looks! I reminds me of paper sassafrass lass released last summer.
The hole on the front was made with a 1inch circle punch, then the matching fruit on the inside was made with the 1 1/4, the 1 3/8, and the the scallop circle punches. It is really important to use a smaller hole on the outside, or the inside piece showing through can get stuck or lift up... Don't ask me how I know that... : )
Hope you are enjoying the start of your holiday weekend!

Barrette Class next week!
I am excited to be doing a class next week making hairbows with Stampin' Up Crochet flowers! I think they are so cute! We will also be making a set with the Pigtails Ribbon set from the catalog as well. Each person will make two of each bow and a box to give a gift of a set if they would like and a matching card! This class will be held next Friday the 29th at my house, 9:30-11:30 and again at 2:30-5. This class is $20. If you would like to purchase the bows without having to make them yourself, please email me, and I will let you know the pricing.

Happy Birthday!
This is the Stampin up Level 3 Hostess set paper. I LOVE IT! I also used the rub-on from the set as well. If you book a party you could possibly earn this set for free! I used the scallop punch on another project... the one from yesterday to be exact, and those red stripes on the baja breeze? Those are the "scraps" from scalloping! I have a serious paper addiction... I horde. I refuse to throw away scraps... and look how pretty they look right there!
A Card
This is my first attempt at posting to my blog. I am looking forward to sharing my hobby with you! My first card I am posting today was for a sympathy swap I did this week. I used the Stamp-a-ma-jig to get my sentiment in just the right spot! I am addicted to that very simple tool now!
This is Stampin' Up! retired Ginger Blossom paper, which I love! This was inspired by this card by Vikki on It's a Stamp Thing.
